June 4, opening day of the new location for Peninsula Pet Supplies, saw a huge turnout with the parking lot full by 10:30am. Customers were treated to pizza, beverages, baked desserts and ice cream. Inside the store there were draws, discounts, samples, displays by suppliers and fully stocked shelves.

With a retail space almost five times larger than the original store, approximately 2,700 sq feet is dedicated to food, toys, treats, and supplements. While mostly for dogs and cats, there are supplies for reptiles, birds, fish and other small animals.
The original store, on the west side of highway 6 in Ferndale, was purchased by owners Allison and Rob Kelly in 2019. They say they outgrew that space and its limited receiving options.
The new building is located across the highway from their original location and features a loading dock, warehouse and multipurpose room.
