The Mainsheet Venue (the former Greig’s Fabric Store) at 66 Main St. was the location of a Pop-up Shop for Ladies night on April 14. Eight Vendors, all female entrepreneurs, showcased a wide range of items from art, jewelry, greeting cards, home decor, gardening items, baked goods, teas, candles, clothing, womens wetsuits, essential oils, yoga supplies, and skin care products
Ally Chisholm who acted as hostess for the Pop-up Shop says there was a social atmosphere with a steady flow of people coming by to visit the Shop.
Marydale Ashcroft from The Shops at 84 Main was pleased with the turnout and saw brisk business. Vendors in Lion’s Head all offered special discounts for the event.

Merchant Tour organizer Charlotte Chinn says “the first Look Locally Pop- Up Shop and Ladies Night was a hit! I couldn’t be more grateful for the turnout. Each and every time I work with an event locally, I’m reminded what a truly special community this is”.
Chinn thanked the vendors and patrons saying that “the support, flexibility, and energy of everyone involved greatly contributed to the success of the event”.
Chinn received many inquiries about other Pop-up Shop events. Chinn says that there may be an opportunity for another Pop-up Store during the summer.
