Friday December 10 was the return of the Turkey Raffle that has been on hiatus due to Covid; it was well attended and a good time was had by all. Thank you to those who came out to support the Legion. To those who won enjoy your turkey or ham and to those who weren’t so successful, well, there is always next year!
This year also saw the return of the Santa Claus parade. Those who lined the streets enjoyed the parade and, of course, the star himself, jolly old St. Nick. After the parade many children came to the community centre to see Santa and receive a goody bag. Thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary for organizing this event.
Membership Renewal
If you didn’t renew your membership by November 30, don’t despair you can still renew, but the price is now $50.00. The easiest way to renew is to e-transfer. Just go to the branch website, click on the donate button and please put in the memo that this is for your membership renewal.
Upcoming Events
• Bingo is back – every Monday at 1:00 pm at the Community Centre.
• Darts for Fun – every Thursday at 7:30. All welcome, cost $2.00, plus 10 cents to the duck!
• Meat Draws – every Saturday at 4:30 pm. All are welcome; come on out! Cost is $7.00 for 3 draws, plus the bonus draw.
• Trivia Night – The next trivia night is Friday, December 17 at 7:00 pm.
Branch Hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3:00 to 9:00 pm or depends on Kandice; so be nice!! This year the Legion will be closed on Saturday, December 25 and Saturday, January 1 for holidays. So, save your money for future upcoming meat draws.
