Keep the Bruce Clean & Green (KTBC&G) would like to suggest that the most effective way to reduce waste is to not create it in the first place! Making new products requires a lot of materials and energy-raw materials must be extracted from the earth and the product must be fabricated and transported to wherever it will be sold. Reduction and reuse are the most effective ways you can save natural resources, protect the environment and save money. Probably the last fact caught your attention the most! Yes, you can save yourself a lot of money by participating in Canada’s Waste Reduction Week! Why not try it for the week, see how easy it is, how good you feel, and hopefully you will carry on the tradition.
Waste Reduction Week in Canada is structured into seven themes. See the schedule below for an attainable goal.

For Saturday, October 23rd, We have you covered too! The Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a clothing drive. What a perfect example of sharing within the community, and also benefiting our community!
You should feel good about helping to prevent pollution, saving energy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global climate change, helping to sustain our environment for future generations, reducing the amount of waste that will be need to be recycled or sent to landfills, helping to allow products to be used to their fullest extent and YES, once again save money!
Enjoy the experience, we also invite you to share pictures of your accomplishments, by emailing us at keepthebruceclean@gmail.com
