The Lion’s Head Beach Park Campground opened on schedule for the 2021 season, starting on May 1. On opening day the campground was fairly quiet with a few seasonals working on their trailers. The campers may have been deterred by the icy temperatures and the ‘stay at home’ restrictions.

The Municipal notice states that the campground will be open “to individuals who are in need of housing and with full-season contracts, who are in good standing with the Municipality”. The notice also states that only campsites with electricity, water services and facilities for sewage disposal will be available.

All transient bookings have been postponed due to the current Provincial travel restrictions.

Recreational facilities in the campground and all other shared facilities in the campground, other than washrooms and showers, are closed.

On May 1st, opening day at the campground, seasonal trailer owner Al McIver braved the mid-afternoon sleet to check on the water hose connections to his trailer.
