Welcome Spring! The good news is that it is now early spring and the weather has been beautiful; the bad news is that the legion will continue to remain closed until the Covid variants are under control.
As this is being written the Covid numbers remain high and the Executive does not want to put anyone’s health at risk. After a year of rolling lock downs and uncertainty we feel that it is better to be the tortoise in this race, slow and steady.
The Executive, also, wants to make sure that when we are able to open that we will remain so. We continue to monitor the situation, so please watch Facebook and the sign out front for better news.
KTBC&G Donates to Legion
The Keep the Bruce Clean and Green (KTBC&G) Committee presented the branch with $200.00 to put towards environmentally friendly take out containers. The money was raised through the bottle return that KTBC&G ran over the winter.
Thank you to Bunkey who presented the donation to Branch 290 President Judy Hurst. Thank you to KTBC&G for the donation and thank you to the community for donating their empties.

Easter Event Cancelled
After reviewing the recent media release from Grey Bruce Health Unit, “Third Wave is Possible – One Last Push”, the Ladies Auxiliary has sadly decided NOT to go ahead with the Easter Event planned for April 3rd.
