It all started when Bev Dywan on Eagle Road East suggested that she and Daryl Wood from Eagle Road West build snowmen at the end of their driveways. Within days it became an Eagle Road Competition and by the noon deadline on Sunday, February 14th there were 14 fantastic entries.

The creativity and effort was obvious and most importantly, everyone had a lot of fun. There was lots of complaining about snow that wouldn’t pack and in the end, the challenges were overcome by sheer determination.

The winner was offered a photo in the Bruce Peninsula Press and bragging rights. The organizers have decided that there is no clear winner with so many fantastic entries. Some of them will stay up for a while and others will gradually disappear.

This was an impromptu, timely and inspiring effort from our Eagle Harbour community. Thanks to everyone who contributed. You made the day extra special for us all.
