The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank recently received a donation of $1,538.00 from Sobey’s Inc. This money was collected during the “Joy of Giving Holiday Fundraiser” in December. The money donated was matched by Sobey’s to make this donation 2 ½ times more than last year!
Kyle & Kara Hellyer, on behalf of Hellyer’s Food Market, donated an additional $1,000.00 to the food bank.
The staff at the store have been so helpful with food bank orders and are very busy shopping and packing groceries for those who call in orders. They are wiping down surfaces many, many times in an hour and washing their hands endlessly. They are courteous when people don’t follow the arrows and graciously help them to go the proper direction. They are pleasant and helpful finding items and checking out customers. They all deserve a manicure after the pandemic is over.
We appreciate you so much for keeping your doors open and doing your very best to keep the shelves stocked and orders processed. Great Job!
