The Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula installed 400 m (1300 ft) of temporary fencing along the Lion’s Head waterfront from the Marina to far end of campground in support of their Geese Management Plan.
The fencing will remain in place until mid to late June. Anecdotal evidence indicates that it is working.

“The fencing aims to encourage the geese to develop different habits” says Ryan Deska, Community Services Manager at Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.
The use of dogs to chase the geese, people in kayaks and a remote-controlled hovercraft are being considered as future deterrents.
