On October 19th a celebration was held at the Tobermory Legion in honour of Tobermory resident Frank Sowa, who turned 100 years young.

Many friends and neighbours attended including family members who came from as far away as Alberta. His son and daughter were there, 5 of his 8 grandchildren, 5 of his 20 great grandchildren and 3 of his many great-great grandchildren. He also has great-great-great grandchildren.

Frank and his wife moved to Tobermory in the late 80s but have had properties on the peninsula since the 50s. He enjoys history and current events, reads everything and enjoys horoscopes and family genealogy.

Frank credits his good health to positive thinking and the clean, fresh air in Tobermory.
