Rotary Club of Northern Bruce Peninsula: Last BIG BREAKFAST Sept 1st

First of all, thank you to the 475 people who came to our August Civic Holiday Weekend Big Breakfast at the Beach. It was a great success and the weather was outstanding. We appreciate each and every one of you who came. Your involvement helps us keep our many projects in this community on track.

Now, get ready for the SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST BIG BREAKFAST. We shall start serving at 9 A.M. and hopefully have everyone fed by 11:00 A.M. Don’t be late. Pancakes, eggs, sausages, home fries, fruit cup, coffee and juice make the perfect ‘hearty’ breakfast on a beautiful morning at the beach. All this for only $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12 years of age.

Remember we only serve real maple syrup thanks to Miner Maple Products who provide our maple syrup from their own stock. The Beach Hotel, as well, has been a sponsor for our coffee for many years. We appreciate these organizations and express our heartfelt thanks to them. This means more profits to go to the community.

We try each year to be more aware of our environment. If possible we would encourage you to BRING YOUR OWN CUTLERY AND/OR DISHES. Of course recyclable/disposable cutlery and dishes will be available if you are not able to bring yours.

ROTARY PROJECTS

We thought you might want to see a list of some of the projects this club has worked on this year.

We are or have already been:

-Supporting our local Hospice

-Supporting our local Day Care with a donation to their kitchen

-Providing medals and ribbons at BPDS for field day activities

-Providing $3,500.00 in bursaries and awards to BPDS graduates

-We will be donating to the local hospital through support funding for the Country Music Event

-Donating to the needed MRI at Grey Bruce Health Services though our upcoming Tri-club Fish Dinner

-Donating $485.00 to the Rotary International Polio Plus campaign to end polio world wide.

-Providing free skating

-We will be donating to Golden Dawn for their new van.

-Supporting students on a Mission trip to Puerto Rico

-Supporting the Biosphere Dark Sky/ Bayside Astronomy project.

This is just a partial list of the projects this Rotary Club supports. Our work is made possible through your generous involvement in the Big Breakfasts and the numerous bars and activities we do in the community.

Beside this list and others, we do our best to keep the Rotary Hall clean and to provide for all bars that are needed and requested by the community. We all enjoy meeting our neighbours and having fun while serving others.
