Stephen Fearing Concert

Rotary was pleased to partner with Northern Peninsula Co Work Space and host a concert at the Rotary Hall on April 6th that was well attended. Thanks to the efforts of Rotarian Stephen Woeller, Stephen Fearing, a renown Canadian guitar player and entertainer was booked for the evening.
‘Halfway North” a group featuring Stephen Woeller, Trace MacKay and Dominik Franken were the opening act and this local group got the crowd excited. The feature act, Stephen Fearing, was nothing short of phenomenal.
Fearing is from ‘down east’ but now lives in BC. He sang original songs and did a fantastic tribute to Gordon Lightfoot. The Rotary Hall was packed with Rotary running the bar and Harvest Moon supplying the food. The proceeds from this concert will help with future needs at the Hall itself.
We thank all who attended and invite you to keep your eye out for future such concerts. It is great to see the response from the public to these events.

Rotary Movie Nights

Our Friday and Sunday afternoon movies are getting an encouraging response. We are particularly pleased with the numbers that are attending on Friday night. There is a description of each movie on our FaceBook page each week so you will know ahead which movies are playing. Please check them out. You won’t be disappointed. The price is only $5.00 or $15.00 for a family. Pop, popcorn, and chocolate bars are all available for a reasonable cost.
We shall be discussing at our next meeting how long we will run these movies into the spring. More news will be posted on our FaceBook page and in the Bruce Peninsula Press when known.

Rotary Membership

We are pleased to say that our membership has continued to expand over the winter months. Attendance at our meeting has been good and we have had our new members very active not only at meetings but helping in our bar service.
If you are interested in being part of this world wide organization, please contact any Rotarian or leave a message on our phone. We will contact you and explain more about Rotary and how you might become part of the Rotary Club of Northern Bruce Peninsula. Our number is 519 793 4040.
