The Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary “Flaky Bakers” are excited to invite you to a 1950s themed Pie and Ice Cream Social.
Please come and enjoy a blast from the past. When you arrive you will enter into a time gone by, warmly greeted by our lovely hostesses. You will be treated to a 1950s style café serving home made pies, home made ice cream locally sourced, and music from the day. Heck, why not don your sneakers, sweater sets and bobby socks if you feel like it!
Enjoy selecting your slice of pie from a cornucopia of juicy fruit pies and dreamy cream pies. Your pie will be topped with a big scoop of home made ice cream, maybe vanilla, maybe something a bit more exotic? Once you are seated you will be served coffee, tea or a nice cold drink.
This new event presented by your Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary is happening on Saturday, May 4th at the United Church Hall in Lion’s Head. There are two seatings from 1 pm until 2 pm and from 2 pm until 3 pm. All types of pie and ice cream will be available at both seatings. Tickets are $12.00 and are on sale now at Peninsula Pharmacy, Marydale’s Restaurant and Louise Julian 519-793-3611. There will also be whole pies for sale at the event for $15.00.
As always, all proceeds are in support of essential health care needs of the people of North Bruce Peninsula.
Be there or be square!
