As a sign of longevity, Bruce Men’s Shed is now incorporated as an entity in Ontario. We will be setting up a Board of Directors and finalizing our bylaws. We would like to thank the Grey Bruce Legal Clinic for their assistance with the fine print. As a corporation we will be instantly recognized as a trusted business which will allow us to apply for grants from foundations, the provincial government and other groups that support civic projects. Property ownership is now a possibility, and we can build funds towards a workshop of our own one day. We will remain a not-for-profit group but not a charitable one. The future looks bright!
On Thursday September 30 we will be in Kincardine to help a new Sheds inaugural meeting. Men’s Shed Kincardine will be hosted by Legion Branch 183 (thank you!) at 219 Lambton St Kincardine at 9:30 am. There will be coffee, tea and snacks. All men are welcome to come out and to learn about what Sheds do. This is being promoted by a number of newspapers as well as Bruce Power Pensioners Association and a local radio station.
Drop in for Coffee Monday every week 9am-11am at Canadian Legion Branch 202, 6 Hellyer Road on Highway 6, 4 km north of Ferndale. Doors open at 8:45.
Our next monthly meeting is Saturday October 24 from 9am-11am where we talk about past and upcoming projects so please come out.
In Wiarton Bruce Men’s Shed coffee gathering is every Coffee Wednesday at 10 am at 451 Frank street, Matthew Mutch hosting.
