Some of you may have noticed the new bench at the Pike Bay Community Park. Please be sure to read the dedication plaque that recognizes the culmination of a long project.
The picture below is of the people who guided the project to its completion. There were many other strong supporters who didn’t get to see the successful end of the project.
The Whiskey Harbour Recreation Association was created to ‘Save The Rocks’ at Whiskey Harbour for public access. The project took a little over 20 years to complete and at the end of the process the last of the funds raised for it were donated to the Pike Bay Community Association ‘for outdoor recreation’ use.
This spring, those funds were used to pay for 7 maple trees planted at the Pike Bay Community Park, along with a bench. The bench and trees were put in place thanks to help from the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula and compliment the playground equipment they installed in the fall of 2025.
