Residents and visitors in Tobermory are currently without local fuel service as Hoppy’s One Stop — the community’s only gas station — remains closed with no firm reopening date announced.
The closure means motorists must now travel outside the village for fuel. The closest available gas station is Fast Stop in Ferndale, located approximately 45 kilometres south of Tobermory, followed by By the Bay Resort in Pike Bay, approximately 60 kilometres south of Tobermory.
Fast Stop in Ferndale is open daily from 6am-8pm Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm Saturday and Sunday. Phone 519-793-4886 for more info.

Propane tank exchange services are available at both locations, as well as at Peacock’s Foodland in Tobermory (non-expired tanks only).
