Former SWANS President, Cathy McLay was on hand to induct the new 2026 SWANS Executive to lead the flock! At the SWANS April 1st meeting, Cathy welcomed new Board Members: Feather Ruffler – Connie Tackaberry and Assistant Feather Ruffler – Kelly Grant, Club Directors – Lianne Timbers-Sharp, Dannah Oliver, Lisa Van Geem and Bonnie Warder, Secretary – Jane Clayton, Treasurer – Bev Miller, President – Katie Reimer-Catteau, Past-President – Lindsay De Malmanche, Media Convenor – Tamara Wilson and Facebook/Social Media Convenor – Roberta Mielhausen.
The SWANS discussed their busy upcoming year including an April 28 Hwy 6 Roadside Cleanup, financial support for a local school trip to Ottawa, the highly anticipated SWANS May 7th Fashion Show at the Lion’s Head Arena (buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment!), support for Weddings and Celebration of Life’s, prepping the Hiking Festival Meal, the Thanksgiving Market, Christmas Bazaar and more!
