I wanted to extend a Thank you to the Northern Bruce Peninsula Rotary Club for reaching out to us to see if we would be interested in sponsoring Wendell’s Walk. We were able to provide a support vehicle and 5th wheel to follow Wendell from Tobermory to Pike Bay.
I also want to thank the drivers that slowed down and respected what we were doing.
As for the ones who thought that they were in a race going by, the dash cam has it all. Our truck had all the emergency lighting, trailer and also an OPP cruiser following.
The trailer we were pulling was used to support Wendell for bathroom breaks, a fridge for cold drinks and snacks, and a place to sit down for a rest.
The peninsula should be proud of Wendell for what he had raised in Snowarama for Easter Seals and now the Lion’s Head Hospital to keep health care close to home.
