Photo: Tobermory Legion held a ceremony on June 11 to rededicate the War Memorial at Tobermory cemetery. The monument has been raised, with a new stone inserted, on which more names have been added, including the last of our WWII veterans. The surround has also been upgraded to poured concrete.
Legion Sgt at Arms Chris McCoy led the march and colour party; Padre Sheryl Spencer led the prayers; Major Heather Reid recited “In Flanders Fields”; Legion Past President Judy Hurst read out the names that have been added to the cenotaph.
