Friends of the Lion’s Head Library is excited to announce that we will be hosting another Used Book Sale. Rain or shine, the sale will be held Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lion’s Head Arena.
It is our goal to raise $50,000, over 5 years, to assist with the purchase of movable shelving and other fixtures. With your support we know this can be accomplished.
Books will be ‘sold’ by donation. We will gladly accept gently used books starting Monday, May 30 until Monday, August 3.
Books should be in good condition, put in boxes marked ‘Friends’ and placed at the front of the library on Mondays and Fridays ONLY before 5:00 p.m. We are not able to accept DVDs, CDs or magazines.
Used books will also be available at the Lion’s Head Marina, Stokes Bay Community Centre and Pike Bay Community Centre. ‘Opening’ dates will be announced soon.
Anyone wishing to volunteer to sort books or to help at the sale are welcome to contact Donna Hambleton at 226-923-1566.
