Games Day on Saturday, August 21st, was a huge success! Although the weather decided not to cooperate, Larry, Mark and Pat persevered and made sure everyone had a wonderful time.
There were 55 people in attendance, enjoying a delicious meal of hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans and corn on the cob. This was followed by a Games Evening, where everyone enjoyed a variety of fun games and lots of laughter.
A big shout-out to Larry, Mark and Pat for doing an excellent job with the cooking. Everything was delicious! Thank you as well to all the organizers and kitchen crew. The day would not have been possible without you.
There are lots of exciting things happening at the Lion’s Head Friendship Club. The Fall and Winter calendar of events has been compiled, and copies are available at the Club.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up:
• Thursday, September 10th: AGM at 11:30 am and Club Lunch at 12:00 pm. — sign-up sheets are available at the Club.
• Tuesday, September 15th: Boat Cruise on the Grand River — SOLD OUT!
• Thursday, September 17th at 5:00 p.m.: Games Day and Light Supper — tickets are available.
• Saturday, September 26th at 5:00 p.m.: Roast Beef Dinner — SOLD OUT!
• Wednesday, September 30th: Craft Day with Forty Hills Flowers, including a light lunch – SOLD OUT!
With so many great activities planned, there is something for everyone at the Lion’s Head Friendship Club. We look forward to seeing you there!
