A Weekend of Celebration, Place, and Belonging

The Peninsula Hike Festival returns October 2–4 at Camp Celtic, bringing together hikers, nature lovers, and community members for a celebration of trail, place, and belonging. Whether you’re a seasoned Bruce Trail explorer or just looking for a great fall experience, the Festival offers something for everyone.

Over the course of the weekend, participants can choose from a wide range of guided hikes across the Peninsula — from scenic shoreline walks to immersive forest experiences led by knowledgeable local experts. It’s a chance to discover hidden gems, learn something new, and connect with others who share a love of the outdoors.

At the heart of the Festival is Saturday evening’s keynote dinner featuring legendary Canadian outdoorsman Kevin Callan, widely known as The Happy Camper. With humour, insight, and unforgettable stories from a lifetime in the wild, Kevin’s talk promises to be a highlight of the weekend — whether you travel by trail or by canoe.

Beyond the hikes, the Festival hub at Camp Celtic will come alive with a Friday Pizza & Beer social, an art exhibit celebrating the Peninsula, and a Silent Auction filled with unique local experiences and items.

Tickets are limited and expected to go quickly.

Register on the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club (PBTC) website peninsula.brucetrail.org. Keynote Dinner tickets available separately if you’d like to only attend the dinner and not the hiking components.

We are also welcoming support from local businesses and community members. If you’re interested in contributing as a sponsor or donating an item to the Silent Auction, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Marg at pbtcoutreach@gmail.com.

Come walk the trails, share the stories, and find your common ground.

We thank our sponsors – Hutten Land & Shore, Summer House Park, Believer Coffee Co., Tagwerk Brewery, Mountain Equipment Company, Blue Heron Cruises, Suntrail Source for Adventure, and Thorncrest Outfitters.
