Spring has sprung! The snow is gone… but, now we see the trash! Just like doing Spring cleaning in your home, please take the time to pick up trash around your area, if you can. We thank all our diligent Litter Ambassadors!

If you would like to join the Litter Ambassador team and take care of a certain area or street, please contact keepthebruceclean@gmail.com. You pick up litter whenever you feel like it and we try to recognize you in different ways with meals, pick up supplies and great companionship.

As you are walking about, maybe along the harbour or in town, if you see trash, it would be appreciated if you collect it. Being a role model is noticed by visitors and locals, young and old. They even say “thank you” at times.

If you would like a KEEP THE BRUCE CLEAN & GREEN sign on your property, contact us. Signage along the Bruce Peninsula reminds visitors to be aware of their trash and proper disposal. Green bags, donated by Parks Canada and/or tomato cages are also available. You would be amazed how many people throw their trash in them!

Due to administrator’s health, KTBC&G will not be collecting returnables. If someone or a group would like to take it over, the box that used to be at the harbour will be given to you. It was always our biggest fundraiser, you can donate the money to your chosen cause!

Did you know? Ontario has added new items for recycling. New items are plastic lined coffee cups, black plastic, foil, stir sticks, straws, and personal care items such as toothpaste tubes. To see a full list, contact A Greener Future at https.//www.agreenerfuture.ca

We hope you are looking forward to making a difference by getting involved! Have a great KEEP THE BRUCE CLEAN & GREEN summer!
