The Peninsula Family Health Team (FHT) will be hosting two upcoming Skin Cancer Screening Awareness Days on Monday September 22nd in the Lion’s Head clinic and Thursday October 2nd in the Tobermory clinic.

Now in our 8th consecutive year, this annual event helps educate patients on how sun damage can impact your skin, the importance of early detection and the critical role we all can play in spotting skin cancer. When detected early, many types of skin cancer can be easily treated or cured. A skin cancer screening appointment will include a visual inspection of your skin by one of the PFHT Physicians and will take approximately 15 minutes.

These clinics are open to any patient of the Peninsula FHT over the age of 16 with a valid OHIP card.

Appointments are required and can be made in advance by phoning the Peninsula FHT clinic sites at (519) 793-3445 or (519) 596-2305.
