The Tobermory Health Services Auxiliary (THSA) extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the recent fundraiser dance with Robb Sharp and Lit’l Chicago a resounding success! Held on September 28, 2024, at the Tobermory Community Centre, the event brought together community members for a night filled with music, laughter, and goodwill.
Funds we have raised in past events have gone towards supporting health care solutions for the Family Health Team. This year we are supporting the Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home and our local Fire Department.
Our 50/50 draw will purchase a Digital Enhancement Package for Golden Dawn residents (as reported in the last edition of the Press). Bev Dywan was our lucky Winner.
All proceeds from the dance go towards purchasing specialty firefighting boots for our 19 volunteer Firefighters in Northern Bruce. The upgraded boots are fully insulated, less slippery and provide greater comfort and security, especially for lengthy firefighting situations.
The evening was not just about fundraising but also about bringing people together. Attendees enjoyed snacks, drinks, and the chance to connect with friends and our neighbours, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community spirit.
A special thanks goes out to our volunteers, local businesses, and sponsors whose generous contributions made this event possible. Whether you donated funding, purchased 50/50 tickets, provided refreshments, or helped set up and coordinate the event, your support was invaluable.
Looking ahead, the Tobermory Health Services Auxiliary is excited to plan more events and actions that aim to support and enhance healthcare in our area. Stay tuned for future announcements on upcoming activities, and thank you once again for your generous support and commitment to our community.
