The fourth and final community Rotary Pancake Breakfast of 2025 will be held on Sunday, August 31st of the Labour Day Holiday weekend, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at Rotary Pavilion next to Lion’s Head Beach. Our community Pancake Breakfasts now feature ‘Made in Canada’ ingredients, including the pancakes (made with Cache Cuisine Buttermilk and Vanilla Pancake Mix) with real maple syrup (generously provided by one of our business sponsors, Miners’ Maple Products), as well as eggs, sausage, hash browns and beverages from Canadian sources!
Even though food prices have increased, Rotary Pancake Breakfasts continue to cost only $15.00 per adult, or $7.00 for children aged 12 and under, and payment can be made by cash or debit/credit card.
To help make this an environmentally-friendly event, Rotary encourages people to bring their own plates and cutlery to help reduce waste from the breakfast. As well, there will be an option for breakfast pick-up for those wanting to take away their breakfasts.
Photos from this most recent community Pancake Breakfast event can be found on our Rotary Club website at https://www.rotarynbp.org/photoalbums/pancake-breakfast-august-3-2025, along with photos from previous Pancake Breakfast events.
We hope to see you there for the final Rotary community Pancake Breakfast of the 2025 season!
Third Annual Oktoberfest!
September 27th
Your local Rotary Club and Tagwerk Bier are co-sponsoring the third annual Oktoberfest to be held Saturday, September 27th from noon to midnight at Rotary Hall here in Lion’s Head. The afternoon portion of the event (12:00 to 6:30 PM) will feature BBQ and Oktoberfest-themed food (including sausages, currywurst, sauerkraut, pretzels and strudel), along with music outside Rotary Hall. The festivities will begin at noon with a mule-drawn, beer cask-laden wagon arriving at Rotary Hall for a traditional ceremony of ‘tapping the cask’ of ‘Oktoberfest Draught’ Tagwerk Bier! During the afternoon, there will be a beer tent featuring Tagwerk biers, along with ciders, wines, coolers and soft drinks for purchase.
The evening portion of the event will feature live entertainment (by the local Paul Williamson Band), the very popular beer stein holding contest, polka music, along with a full bar inside Rotary Hall (with ‘Oktoberfest Draught’ and other Tagwerk biers, as well as ciders, wines, coolers and soft drinks available for purchase).
Tickets for the day-long celebration will cost $25.00, and can be purchased in advance at lionsheadoktoberfest.com – get your tickets early as this will likely be a sell-out event based on the past two years!
Net proceeds from this Oktoberfest event will go to the Rotary Hall Building Fund, towards refurbishing our beloved Rotary Hall! Hope to see you there!
