A street transformed into a lively party venue, a social gathering spot, a family friendly affair, food, music, a worthwhile cause and warm summer weather attracted party goers of all ages.

About 760 persons attended the Annual Lion’s Head Street Dance held on 2 August 2025; with the proceeds of $13,500 going directly to the Bruce Peninsula Family Centre. The annual street dance is a major fundraiser for the local daycare.

The organizers report that attendance was up from last year. “The Board of Bruce Peninsula Family Centre is very happy with the results. Music, food and setting all helped create an unforgettable atmosphere for all that attended (young and old). The funds will go a long way to helping us achieve some capital projects”  stated event organizers Kathryn Vogan and Hannah Vandenbosch.

Adam Hellyer, who has performed at the Street Dance for the past 11 years, kicked off the evening of music and fun. He was followed by the ever-popular band Midnight Blue. Bear Tracks Restaurant provided the food for the event.
