On 26 June 2025, the organizers of Harbourside Music held the official opening ceremony and ribbon cutting for the new Harbourside stage in Lion’s Head. On hand for the event were the Mayor, Council members, Municipal staff, local musicians, volunteers and community members.
It is unanimous amongst residents that the new Harbourside Stage is simply spectacular. Designed by Rod Layman, with funding from the Municipality of Northern Bruce and volunteer labour including from the Bruce Men’s Shed, the new stage was constructed during the month of June.
Mayor Milt McIver highlighted the partnership between the Municipality and volunteers to build the stage, saying it is an asset to the Lion’s Head Waterfront.
