An information meeting has been planned for Thursday May 15, 2019 at the Northern Bruce Peninsula Lindsay Municipal Building from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

Come to the meeting to learn about the following:
What is an age-friendly rural community?
How can organizing a Community Advisory Committee in the Northern Bruce Peninsula ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of the residents?
Can age-friendly rural communities for the residents increase the awareness of the needs and challenges of the residents of all ages on the Peninsula?
How do we bridge the generation gap between the youth, millennials and the 55+ population?
Who is interested in starting the conversation and discussion?
How do we build on the good things happening on the Bruce Peninsula with the needs for transportation, communication, affordable and available housing, social participation, employment availability, accessible buildings and outdoor spaces, ageism, loneliness, isolation and respect for all ages?

The Council on Aging Grey Bruce meets monthly at the Active Lifestyle Centre in Owen Sound. The organization of the Council started with the first Seniors’ Summit held in Owen Sound at the Bayshore Community Centre in 2014 funded by the Ontario Senior Secretariat. The goal for the Council is to establish Community Advisory Committees in each municipality in Grey Bruce.
Be a part of moving your community forward as we discuss and recommend programs, new initiatives and enhancements to the lifestyle on the Northern Bruce Peninsula. Together we can make a difference for all ages!
