Inquiries and applications for our 3 E-Bikes for seasonal rent to resident seasonal workers is still open to end of April by e-mailing TMP. This is a great way to acquire affordable and sustainable transportation and keep active.
Gardening season is almost here and the Community Gardens on Centennial Drive in Tobermory have a few available raised garden beds for residents interested in seasonal gardening. It’s a good way to connect with like-minded friends and neighbours and learn together about growing your own fresh vegetables. Inquire with Jen at TMP or e-mail info@tobermorymeetingplace.com
TMP is looking for a summer student to assist with recreation services, especially supporting our E-Bike Rental service to visitors. This is a unique opportunity for a student to learn about a start-up business and work at a slower pace. Ideally a local student age 15 – 30 will be interested in the position; full time hours and wages are competitive. We are asking interested students to submit a letter of interest and resume using TMP e-mail.
Lastly, TMP is reaching out to community residents in the Northern Bruce for donations to support access to services and community – based activities at The Meeting Place. The spring “Supporting Our Community Together” campaign is important to keeping the work of TMP ‘Community Hub’ open all year round. Take a look through our new brochure mailed out to households in the Tobermory catchment area on April 24.
