Lion’s Head Pickleball Club Holds 2nd Annual Pickleball Tournament

The Lion’s Head Pickleball Club hosted their 2nd Annual Spring Pickleball Tournament on May 31 and June 1. Players travelled from all over the area to compete including from Meaford, Owen Sound, Collingwood, Paris, Kitchener, Port Elgin, Georgian Bluffs, South Bruce and Northern Bruce Peninsula from Sauble Beach to Oliphant to Wiarton to Lion’s Head to Miller Lake to Tobermory. 

The proceeds from the tournament will be equally split between the Lion’s Head District Food Bank and the Bruce Peninsula Hospice (more information in the next issue).

Congratulations to Karen Westover and Maureen Kemp for securing the first place in the Women’s Division! And well done to Dana Lansborough and Lisa MacNeil for taking the second spot, followed by Pam Crawford and Sue Woods in third place.

Congratulations to Barrett Johnson and Bev Johnson for clinching the top spot in the Men’s Division! Kudos also to Brad McMillan and Arron Vickery for securing second place, and to Terry Woods and Craig Lanning for their third-place finish.

Barrett Johnson and Maureen Kemp took the first place in the Mixed Division. Pam Crawford and Terry Woods secured the second spot, while Bev Johnston and Leslie Trottier claimed the third place. 

There were exciting matches across all divisions!
