North and South Bruce Peninsula are once again hosting a variety of events to celebrate Canada Day this year.
Tobermory events are taking place July 1st – a full day of family themed events taking place at the Tobermory Community Centre and live music at the Tobermory Harbour.

South Bruce celebrates Canada Day July 1st with a day-long celebration at Bluewater Park in Wiarton. Activities include a Pancake Breakfast 8-11am, BBQ 11am-4pm, Fish Dinner 4:30-6pm, vendors in the park 10am-4pm, family fun activities such as a Petting Zoo, Scavenger Hunt, Touch a Truck, Face Painting, Clown, Craft and Family Games from 11am-4pm, Foam-tastic Party 12:15 & 3pm, Magic Show 2:15pm, McLaren’s Pipes and Drums Band/Legion Branch 208/Dignitaties Parade & Speeches 5:45pm, Cake & Ice Cream 6:30pm, Music Entertainers 4:30pm-Dusk and FIREWORKS at Dusk.
Over at the Sauble Town Square there will be family entertainment, live music and FIREWORKS at dusk.
Both the Dyers Bay and Lion’s Head communities are hosting Canada Day celebrations on Saturday, June 28th. The annual Canada Day Parade takes place in Lion’s Head at 7pm.
There are no fireworks taking place in Northern Bruce for Canada Day – you have to go to Wiarton or Sauble.
