The Lion’s Head Summer Music returns for its fourth year running from 28 July to August 1, 2025. The five day summer concert series will start each evening at 7 p.m. at the Harbourside Stage in Lion’s Head.

For the past three years, this openair concert series has garnered a faithful following of music lovers, becoming one of the most anticipated music events of the summer in Lion’s Head.

Co-organizers Dominik Franken and Chris Robinson have lined up the audience’s favorite performers, promising another exhilarating musical experience for the 2025 season:

-July 28, the Georgian Bay Woodwind Quintet

-July 29. Southampton Concert Band

-July 30, Peninsula String Quintet

-July 31, from Classic to jazz

-August 1st, Rosin Dust joined by Sarah Pratt-Parsamian, Sonja Ostertag, and Dominik Franken

The goal of the Summer Music festival is to bring classical music to a wider audience in a casual setting. Music patrons and performers are well acquainted with the stunning Harbourside venue with the Lion’s Head waterfront and bluffs setting, saying it is a perfect spot to enjoy music. This year the music festival will benefit from the newly-built Harbourside stage.

Each year, the music festival operates on a modest budget of $5,000.00. This year, the Lion’s Head Summer Music festival will be funded by a grant from Municipality of Northern Bruce, support from Scott’s Home Hardware and Barbara Dirckx Real Estate and donations from the audience.

All performers are offered a catered meal held in the gardens of Lion’s Head residents Judith Friend and Gerry Gregory. Franken jokingly says this meal serves as an attraction to bring back the musicians year after year.

The concerts are free, however donations are appreciated as the funds are directly channelled back into hosting this music festival.
