Join Sources of Knowledge (SOK)and Save Ontario Shipwrecks (SOS) Tobermory Chapter for a special screening of Diving Into The Darkness, featuring renowned cave diver Jill Heinerth, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Parks Canada Visitor Centre, Tobermory (120 Chi Sin Tib Dek Road, Tobermory). Doors will open at 5:30 PM for the 6:00 PM screening.
This film captures Jill Heinerth’s daring explorations into the planet’s deepest underwater caves. Following the screening, attendees can participate in a live Q&A session with Jill herself.
Heinerth, the first Explorer-In-Residence at the Royal Canadian Geographic Society, is a celebrated explorer, writer, and filmmaker. Her acclaimed work has appeared in National Geographic, BBC, and Discovery Channel, and her autobiography, Into The Planet, is widely praised.
This event coincides with Tobermory’s new dive shop opening, emphasizing our diving heritage and SOS’s local maritime preservation efforts. We look forward to seeing you there!
