On November 11th, the legion paid respect to our veterans as we have in so many years past. The community was there to support our parade and legion service, as they too, have done for so many years. Thank you to all who came out and for supporting our Poppy drive. A lovely ham and scalloped potato dinner and all the trimmings was served back at the legion after the service. Thank you to all who contributed.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Comrade Joanne Lane for all her many years (19) of an exemplary job in serving as poppy Chairman. Joanne will be leaving her post this year but will train anyone interested in taking over her duties in this important and gratifying position.

The Poppy Fund supports veterans and their dependants as well as seniors, and comforts for both these groups such as assisting with the purchase of hospital equipment. It has a few short weeks of busy time so please consider filling this role.

The winter hours of legion meetings have changed for the winter. We will now be meeting the second Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. (executive) and 3 p.m. (general).

There will be a progressive euchre on November 22nd at 7 p.m. Come alone or bring some friends to this fun evening.

The Meat Draw takes place every Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Come out and win a steak dinner!

Darts are played every Thursday at 3 p.m. All welcome!
