From Severn Cullis-Suzuki (David Suzuki Foundation) come these wise words: “I was taught that where you are is where you should make a difference! Don’t look for a better school or place to live. Make yours better!”

You don’t need lots of time or money, but with a bit of initiative, it’s easy!

Keep the Bruce Clean & Green (KTBC&G) would like to welcome some new Litter Ambassadors to our team! Irene Muchan in Cape Chin, Sam and Vimin Santos – Dorcas Bay and Pedwell’s Point, Jessica Rice and Noden – Lindsay Road 20 and Becky Clarke – Harbour Circle! They all received KTBC&G t-shirts and grabbers to help do the job.

We were also able to provide a “well deserved pizza lunch” to our little Ambassadors at St Edmunds Public School in Tobermory as a thank you for their hard work this past year.

Our Municipality has generously supported us again this year. We are extremely thankful for their support and approval of our projects! Here is another successful initiative: As you drive north of Ferndale, check out the banner designed by Owen Morrison from Bruce Peninsula District School! His poster won him the $50.00 prize. Catch him at The Hungry Hiker in Tobermory and thank him personally, for his great work! Thanks also to the Tobermory Press staff, for producing such a quality banner.

Each and every one mentioned, has indeed made a difference! We are a perfect example of what the Suzuki Foundation is encouraging!

Please remember to support our bottle drive, at 182 Cape Hurd Road. In order to be respectful of the neighbours, we ask you to just drive down the driveway and then unload.

Email us at keepthebruceclean@gmail.com if you would like to become a Litter Ambassador or would like to join our organizational team.
