The Saturday of the Victoria Day Weekend marked the opening of the Lion’s Head Farmers Market at the Beach. With the warm sunny morning drawing the crowds out, over 1,000 persons flowed through the market on May 18, 2024.

For the 2024 season, there will be 38 full-time and occasional food vendors, including many long-time vendors and six new vendors. With an impressive offering of seasonal and fresh produce and locally made items there is something for every need.

Another crowd pleaser is the Market Band, which becomes a central spot for neighbours to meet each other and visitors to interact with locals. Market goers enjoy relaxing at the picnic tables and Muskoka chairs, indulging in tasty freshly made fare while listening to the melodious tones of the Market Band.

The Market will be open every Saturday until Thanksgiving weekend. The Market runs from 9 a.m. until noon, and for an additional hour on the long weekends, open until 1 p.m.  The Market is located at “the beach” in and next to the beach pavilion in Lion’s Head.
