The annual Harbourside Music summer concerts start on June 21, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Harbourside Stage located near the Lion’s Head Beach Pavilion. Opening night will feature performances by Mick Flick and Scott Parent.

The 2024 concert series runs from June 21 until August 23 on Friday evenings starting at 7 p.m.

On each Friday night there are typically two or three acts. Many of the returning acts have performed yearly at Harbourside, such as the Ferndale Flats, Dustin McMullin, Rosin Dust, Brian, Brian and Arnie, the McLaren Pipe and Drum Band, Mackenzie Williamson and many others. Also in the lineup this year are more than a half dozen new musicians. Co-organizer Rod Layman says there has been a lot of interest and support from local artists willing to perform at the popular Harbourside concerts,

Rod Layman, Gerry Gregory and Dominik Franken are co-organizers of the event. John Fenton and Brian Osbourne manage the sound system at the Friday evening concerts.

The event is run solely on donations. Musicians are offered a small honorarium which would include the cost of mileage. Last year, together with the Market Band, Harbourside donated $2,000 to the local Food Bank.

The organizers remind patrons to bring lawn chairs, blankets and wear appropriate clothing.
