Looking for something fun to do on Family Day Weekend? Feeling the winter blues or “cabin fever”? Look no further!
According to Canadian Mental Health Association, over 60% of Canadians feel isolated and a bit “blue” during the winter. The good news is – increased physical activity and making time to connect with friends and close family helps to strengthen your personal tool kit needed to feel healthy and happy.
Keeping this in mind, Peninsula Bruce Trail Club (PBTC) invites everyone to a free Family Fun afternoon in Lion’s Head on Sunday, February 18th. Drop in anytime between 1-4 p.m. at the Rotary Hall in Lion’s Head. There will be live music, board games and hot chocolate for all to enjoy.
Join a guided hike – right in Lion’s Head!
Choose one of three, free organized PBTC guided hikes and then drop in to the Rotary Hall, after you hike. Family hikes, medium and longer duration hikes – we have something for everyone! You can register for the February 18th hikes and learn more here: https://www.pbtc.ca/hikes.
Interested in collecting badges?
Kids – bring your hiking log showing completion of 4 PBTC Side Trails and get a free Bear Cub Badge! If you join the Family Hike, you will already have three side trails completed!
New to the Bruce Trail?
Free “My First Hike” badges available for Family Day Hike registrants.
Everyone is welcome! Let’s get together to hike a little, share our stories, listen to some local musicians and have some fun! Questions? Contact Marg at pbtcoutreach@gmail.com
