We hope each and everyone of you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We certainly enjoyed the holiday season at the Friendship Club. We started off our celebrations with a sit down dinner for 72 complete with appetizers, punch, a full course meal and caroling catered to by Bear Tracks. We continued our celebrations with a bring whatever pot luck and the club supplied the meat. We had a great time with our $5 gift exchange later in the month.

Now it’s time to get back into the swing of things for the new year with all our regular programs returning and we hope some new ones.

Do you like to go the show or theater? Don’t want to go alone? Don’t drive? Maybe we could form a new group with the same interests.

If you’re looking for something else to do we have many activities:

Bid Euchre and Bridge Monday and Friday @1pm.

Are you free on Wednesday night? We can entertain you with regular Euchre @ 7pm.

Also line dancing and rug hooking groups during the week.

On the second Thursday of the month, which is January 11th this month, @11:30am we have our regular meeting which lasts about 15 minutes and then on to a full lunch of soup, sandwiches, coffee/tea and dessert, a fun bingo and maybe a game of cards – all at the low cost of $7. Just call in advance so we know you are coming.

At the end of the month we will be doing a Poorman’s Dinner, which is our way to thank our members and we know January can be a long hard month. What’s a poor man’s dinner? A complete dinner for $5 just for our members.

On the last Saturday of every month (except July and August) we do a dinner at a minimum charge.

We are always looking for new members. Winters can be long on the peninsula, so if you are interested in any of the above please call Maxine @ 519-375-0959. Memberships are $20 and between free dinners and discounts on all the activities, it certainly pays for itself.

Hoping to hear from you!
