SERVICE – WE ASSIST, NURTURE, SUPPORT

WOW! The SWANS have been busy and enjoying lots of laughs while getting the work done.
Most of our members gathered a couple of days prior to our Annual Christmas Bazaar to create Outdoor Greenery Planters. Last year was our first attempt to offer these items and they proved to be very popular. We have some very talented members and a big thank you to them for sharing their skills with the group.
Our Christmas Bazaar was held, as per usual, the same day as the Santa Claus Parade in Lion’s Head. This is one of our main fundraising events and Convenor Bev worked very hard to make sure it was a success. The Friendship Hall is always decorated beautifully and the tables are packed with Homemade Goodies, Knick Knack Treasures, Silent Auction items and a very tasty lunch. We are so grateful for the never-ending support from our patrons.

In December, the SWANS hold a Christmas Get Together instead of a regular meeting. This is always a “fun filled” evening where the members showcase their favourite appetizer recipes and can participate in a gift giving/stealing game. It is always a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere with the other members. In addition, the members are encouraged to bring along an item for the Woman’s Shelter and Treasurer Bev will be taking the items, along with our club’s financial donation to the shelter before Christmas. Thanks to the members for their generosity!
On behalf of the SWANS, we wish you a great Holiday Season and thank you for your support over the past year and look forward to many more successes in 2024!
