The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank needs your help again this Christmas! Please have your elves put together items for our clients like …
-shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, moisturizer
-dish soap, laundry soap
-toilet paper, Kleenex, garbage bags
-toothpaste, toothbrushes for adults and children
-bandaids, hand sanitizer, nail files, nail clippers
-socks for adults and children pre-school to Seniors
Items required for our traditional Christmas hampers include …
-canned pineapple rings, cranberries, turkey gravy, turkey dressing
-boxed potatoes – mashed and scalloped
-boxed Christmas cookies or chocolates
-apple juice, tomato juice
And Santa, we can always use any amount of money to purchase the hams, turkeys, veggies and dinner rolls.
Donations can be placed in the Food Bank bins at Peninsula Pet Supply in Ferndale and the arena in Lion’s Head. Monetary donations can be made by cheque to PO Box 22 Lion’s Head and e-transfers can be sent to lhdfoodbank@gmail.com.
Deadline for ordering a hamper is December 1. Please order online at holidayhamperslh@gmail.com or call 519-378-8842. Hampers will be distributed on December 21. Delivery can be arranged as needed.
The Food Bank will be working with the Bruce Peninsula Fire Department to distribute toys for children up to 16 years of age. Please place your order by December 1. Your identity will be kept in the strictest confidence. Email to lhdfoodbank@gmail.com to order toys for your children.
