The annual Halloween Spooktacular returned to the Tobermory Community Centre October 31st.
Organized by RE/MAX Tobermory – Your Bruce Peninsula Real Estate Team, the family friendly event featured 13 trick-or-treat tables, a spooky haunted house (designed by RE/MAX Tobermory – Your Bruce Peninsula Real Estate Team), cupcake and cookie decorating. New this year was an ice cream sundae bar, with donations going to the local food bank and RE/MAX matching all donations.
Attendees commented that the indoor event was a great accompaniment to the traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating, especially with the wintery weather that evening. Approximately 175 adults and children attended with kids in costume from ages 6 months to 16+ years.
Participants who set up tables, those that donated candy, those that donated towards the prizes, and volunteers from the community are all instrumental in making this event happen. The following people and businesses supported the Spooktacular:
– Leslie Morris – Dominion Lending
– Blue Heron Cruises & Sweet Water Bay
– Escarpment Heights Motel
– Wendy Caron
