The Tobermory Food Bank announces another way to donate – the “ADOPT A DONATION PROGRAM”.

An Intentional Giving Program

How does it work?

•Choose one particular item that you will “adopt” as your donation on an ongoing basis.

•When you wish to support the Food Bank, you donate that same item each time.

Why is this an easier way to donate?

• No need to decide what item would be best to donate – it would be the item you have “adopted”.

•You can wait until your chosen item is on sale.

We at the Food Bank are often asked what items are most needed. Most needed items include Canned Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Canned Fruit and Vegetables, Dried Cereal, Canned Tuna, Meat or Chicken, Sidekick Pasta Meals, Toilet Tissue and Chunky Style Soups. Or anything else you may choose. All donations are welcome.

Where can you donate?

•Peacock’s Foodland

•Tobermory Post Office

•Tobermory United and St. Edmund’s Anglican Churches (when Churches are open)

The Tobermory Food Bank is so fortunate to have the support of the whole Community. Individuals, Businesses, Organizations and Churches.

This new Program is just one way to donate. Cash donations help us fill in the gaps that appear on our shelves. Cash donations of over twenty dollars generate a tax receipt. You can e-transfer at tobermoryfoodbank@gmail.com. Or mail donations to J. Dewey, 211 Eagle Rd. Tobermory, ON, N0H 2R0. As well, you can make a cash donation at the till at Peacock’s for the Food Bank and that will also generate a tax receipt.

If you have any questions about this new program or any questions regarding the Food Bank please call Linda at 519-596-2333 or Jim at 519-375-7010 or Jennifer at 519-596-2188.
