The Lion’s Head Friendship Club recently hosted a Seniors Day that proved to be a tremendous success, with 44 seniors enjoying a fun-filled day of activities, fellowship, and great food.

Participants took part in a variety of games, including cornhole, bocce ball, golf, a fish pond, and several other activities. Everyone enjoyed some friendly competition, and prizes were awarded to those who achieved the highest scores.

The day concluded with a delicious steak supper, followed by strawberry shortcake for dessert. A special thank you goes to Larry, who did an outstanding job cooking the steaks for everyone to enjoy.

The Friendship Club extends its sincere appreciation to all of the organizers and volunteers whose hard work and dedication made the event possible. Their time, effort, and commitment are truly appreciated, and the day would not have been such a success without them. Thank you as well to everyone who attended and helped create such a warm, enjoyable atmosphere.

The next Games Day is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the Friendship Club and from several members of the Board of Directors. Tickets are $5.00 each, which includes a BBQ and corn roast before the games begin. Tickets are selling quickly, so anyone planning to attend is encouraged to purchase theirs as soon as possible.

The Friendship Club would also like to remind members that, with the exception of lunches, sign-up sheets are no longer being used for events. Instead, tickets will be sold for all events at a cost of $5.00 per person. As many events sell out quickly, purchasing tickets early is recommended.

Games Days are always a highlight at the Friendship Club, offering plenty of fun, laughter, and an opportunity to enjoy time with friends old and new.
