On November 26th, our Club hosted the 1st Annual Swanspiel at the arena in Lion’s Head. Thanks to all the members that contributed to the success of the event. Fun was had by all, but especially the winning team of Rod Bar, Alan Jones, Mia Toose and Susan Avis. George Hambleton was the winner of the Fun Game at lunch and took home a turkey as the prize.
Our Club wants to express our appreciation to all the participants, the Lion’s Head Curling Club for the use of the equipment, and the Municipality for assisting us to raise approximately $800 that will proudly be donated to the BPDS Nutrition Program. Great work!
We held a 2nd meeting in November to make greenery pots for the Christmas Bazaar. Member Kelly led us in making our creations and we thank her for the assistance. It was a fun evening!
All our members have been busy baking and gathering any books, puzzles, home décor and other treasures to offer for sale at our annual Christmas Bazaar. It was wonderful to be able to host this event again. The doors of the Friendship Club opened at 10 am on December 3rd and we had an excellent turnout of shoppers and people enjoying lunch. It was a great day and we thank all the generous people that stopped by.
The Peninsula SWANS appreciate the generosity of our community and thank you for making our fundraising events successful.
We wish you all the best for the Holiday Season and an amazing 2023!
