Mary Dale Ashcroft (right) presents a cheque for $4,000 to Sheila Keeshig (left) of the Maadookii Seniors Group. This money was raised through merchandise sales at The Shops at 84 Main and donations made at the walk held on September 30th.
The money will be used for a residential school memorial. Ashcroft says “As promised at the walk on September 30th, we stand with our Nawash Community Members now and in the years to come. Chi Miigwetch.”
