This past week we had our first Beach Day Barbeque… well, so much for beach as the weather didn’t cooperate.
The Barbeque ended up taking place at the Lion’s Head Friendship Club hall with a great crowd in attendance. A free lunch and barbeque was had by all. A lot of silly games – catch a fish, Ally’s baby shoes, and everyone got a prize.
Next year we hope to do it again, but with better weather, and at the beach.
The next event is our Anniversary Dinner on Saturday, June 25 at 5 o’clock. A turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served for a price of $10 for members and $12 for non-members, so get your tickets now.
We have Wednesday night euchre on hold so that everyone can enjoy the summer. We hope to be returning in the fall.
We are still playing bid euchre on Mondays and Fridays at one 1 o’clock. We always like to have new people join us. If you don’t know how to play, we will teach you.
