Another star shines bright in the heavens of night… It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William Taylor, aged 83, on October 26, 2021. William (Bill) was born on July 12, 1938 in Glasgow, Scotland. Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Denise, as well as his sister, Anne and brother Jack. He was predeceased by his parents Rose and John and sister Rose. Proud father of David (Liz), Jamie (Martha), Sandra (Rob), and Bill (Pam). Caring and cherished grandpa of Sarah, Nicole, Rachel, Reagan, Jessica, Ashleigh, Daniel, Caleb, Spencer, Owen and Madison. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews across Canada. Bill was a retired OPP officer of 33 years and a former U.S. Marine. He will be sadly missed by friends in Dorset where he generously donated time at the museum and grew world class garlic at the community garden. Thanks to Annette, Nick and Mary, Peter and Joanne. Special thanks to the great friends in Florida – Jackie and Lyda, Effie and Don, Denny and Nadine for their years of friendship, incredible kindness during his final days, and support of Denise through this difficult time. Bill’s work ethic and perseverance will live on through his children and grandchildren.
