The Tobermory Firefighters Association (TFFA) would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to Ron and Fran Psotka of Land’s End Park for their generous donation of new personal lights to the firefighters of Station 10 Tobermory.

In the early hours of July 13, 2021, Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire Department (N.B.P.F.D.) were called to a structure fire at Land’s End Park near Tobermory. Upon arriving, the home was completely engulfed in flames, but the occupants were able to escape thanks to functioning smoke alarms that had alerted them to the danger. Firefighters battled the blaze for more than five hours.

The addition of personal flashlights to the firefighters’ gear will aid in visibility and safety during fires and rescues that occur at night.

The Tobermory Firefighters Association would like to remind you that working smoke alarms save lives.
